ABOUT THE ESK REGION

RURAL PRODUCTS

Esk takes its name from the River Esk in Scotland and England. The land was explored by Captain Patrick Logan in 1830 (with a memorial in Esk Memorial Park commemorating his 1830 exploration). The town developed from nearby copper mines at Eskdale and Cressbrook Creek, with settlers arriving in the 1840s. The first post office opened February 1, 1874.

Proven Performance in Brisbane Valley Conditions

Our hot-dip galvanized steel products excel in Esk’s subtropical climate with moderate rainfall and significant flooding history. Unlike timber (which rots) or painted steel (which rusts), galvanized Brazzen equipment maintains integrity for decades in Somerset conditions—from the Brisbane River valley to the surrounding ranges. Built to withstand 763mm annual rainfall (record 2,166mm in 1893), major flood events, and temperature variations from cool winter mornings to warm summer days.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Our commitment to quality and service sets us apart. We provide trusted solutions, expert advice, and durable products to support the needs of the rural and agricultural community.

Do you deliver to Esk and Somerset Region?

Absolutely. Esk is one of our closest areas—we’re located right next door at Sandy Creek in Somerset Region. We service Esk and all five major townships (Esk, Fernvale, Kilcoy, Lowood, Toogoolawah) plus surrounding districts daily. Delivery costs are minimal due to immediate proximity.

Absolutely critical. Somerset’s flooding history—from 1893 (2,166mm rainfall) to 2011 (first-ever Redbank Creek flooding)—demonstrates why galvanized steel is essential. Timber deteriorates rapidly after flood exposure. Galvanized steel withstands inundation, requires minimal post-flood repairs, and continues performing for decades. In Somerset’s flood-prone valleys, galvanized steel isn’t optional—it’s the only sensible choice.

Absolutely. From Brisbane River valley floors to ranges around Mount Esk (450m elevation), we design yard systems for varied terrain ensuring efficient cattle flow and safe operation regardless of property topography.

Yes. We provide comprehensive yard design services optimized for your operation size, cattle numbers, handling frequency, and property layout—from large commercial beef operations to mixed farms to rural-residential properties near Wivenhoe Dam.

Absolutely. We commonly upgrade existing infrastructure with new gates, panels, crushes, or complete sections. Many Somerset properties have timber yards from the historic dairying era or flood-damaged infrastructure—we can phase upgrades to match your budget and schedule.

Yes. We appreciate Somerset’s designated role as SEQ’s major water catchment area. Our galvanized steel infrastructure requires no chemical treatments, lasts 50+ years reducing replacement cycles, and minimizes environmental impact—perfectly aligned with water catchment management objectives.
